LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

To follow a structured process in order to develop skilful and refined outcomes which combine techniques and processes.

TASK:

Use black chalk to emphasise and define the outer boundaries of your object (see how Jim Dine does this in his work). Develop your design by gently smudging the chalk. Add coloured chalk to the background shapes and finish your outcome with a few expressive splats!

3DMixed1.jpg

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

To follow a structured process in order to develop skilful and refined outcomes which combine techniques and processes.

TASK:

Carefully trace your background shapes onto coloured tissue paper. Cut out your shapes with care. Choose where to collage pieces of newspaper and coloured paper into your background (consider how the pieces will complement or clash with your image). Now stick down your tissue paper shapes and then ask your teacher to re-photocopy your pencil drawing image over the top of your collaged layers.

MATERIALS:

Tissue paper, pencil, scissors, newspaper and glue.

LEARNING OBJECTIVE:

To follow a structured process in order to develop skilful and refined outcomes which combine techniques and processes.

TASK:

Redefine your image by adding bold outlines and strong detailed lines to the object. Use a pencil crayon to add some detailed lines to your work. You may also choose to add some realism to your drawing by adding in some shadows using controlled pencil shading. You may also wish to finish your image with some extra colours or white highlights.

MATERIALS:

Black pencil crayon, coloured pencil crayons.
